This is arguably the most famous palazzo on the Grand Canal; its Venetian Gothic-Florid style, with its Oriental influences, evokes "the heavenly interplay of stone and air." It houses the Franchetti Gallery in the Ca' d'Oro, which displays the collections of its last owner, Baron Giorgio Franchetti.
Notable highlights include Titian's Venus, Mantegna's St. Sebastian, and Carpaccio's Annunciation and Death of the Virgin. Also on display are rare Gothic and Renaissance furniture, Flemish tapestries, and a coin collection whose oldest pieces date back to the 15th century.
