Sure, you can sit on the usual breakwaters and enjoy the view of the sea. But that's about it. Not so in Caorle, with the Scogliera viva, the "living rocks."
Once a year, artists gather in Caorle for a competition (anyone who knows how to handle a hammer and chisel can participate) to tackle the boulders with hammer and chisel. You can see the amazing result for yourself.
The best part: the coastline is still long! A few new ones are added every year.
