The Green Dune
Dune Verde is a large seaside resort with an adjacent 18-hole golf course.
In addition, the town has preserved its largely unspoiled dune landscape, which is typical of the Upper Adriatic (the dunes form a natural barrier between the sea and the mainland).
A vacation for the senses: the sound of the sea in your ears, the horizon before your eyes, and the scent of pine forests in your nose-not to mention the chirping of crickets...
Duna Verde is located not far from Porto S. Margherita and Caorle. The towns are connected by their own bus line, making it easy to plan an evening stroll through Caorle without having to get in the car.
Frequency: Every half hour during peak hours, otherwise hourly.
But you don’t necessarily have to rely on the bus if you want to go to Caorle. There’s also the small car ferry across the Livenza, which takes you from Porto S. Margherita to Caorle.
Golfers will be in their element here, as the Sea Course Pra delle Torri is just a short distance away. The course (6 km long, par 72) was expanded to 18 holes just a few years ago. /more
