Vacation between the Uso and Rubicon: The towns of Bellaria and Igea Marina are situated between the mouths of these two rivers. Originally fishing villages, they became well-known destinations for beach vacations as early as the beginning of the last century.
Bellaria Igea Marina is known for affordable beach vacations, 7 km of fine sandy beaches, bars, pubs, nightclubs, and hotels. Of course, there are city parks and pedestrian zones for shopping.

Shell Museum
in the Saracen Tower
The so-called Sarezenenturm was built in the 17th century in response to raids by Turkish pirates. It is the last tower still preserved in its original form. In times of danger, residents could once barricade themselves inside and organize their defense.
Today, residents and visitors can retreat here to explore the world of shells. That's because the tower now houses a shell museum on its top floor. On display here is a malacological collection, partly featuring specimens from the Desideri Collection in Rome. It consists of a special collection of shells, mollusks, skeletons of marine organisms, corals, echinoderms, crustaceans, and turtle shells. The exhibits come from all over the world.
